My name is Justyne and I have a daughter Siahne who was born in 1996 with Down Syndrome. I started this Dance Studio in August 2001 with my mother June Renaud (Mrs. R).
My original goal was to give Siahne, other children and adults with an intellectual disability a place to learn to dance to age-appropriate music with other children and adults of the same age.
A place where they could express their abilities. We have created so much more.
When we first started we had 4 students now we have up to 60 + students at any one year, ages ranging from 8yrs-48yrs. Going stronger than ever after 22yrs. Not even Covid stopped us. We offered zoom dance lessons each Saturday during lockdown, so our students could keep up their regular exercise routine and see their friends for a chat and laugh each week.

My goal is to give our special needs community a place to learn to dance, exercise and have fun.
This goal has been reached and has exceeded all my original hopes and dreams.
We hold an annual concert each year to showcase our students’ abilities.
The confidence and self-esteem levels in our students all improve each and every time they perform.
Our staff are 100% motivated to get the best out of our students. The Star Performers & Twinkle Stars Dance Family love their work with our amazing students. Over the years we have seen the difference that our classes have made to all our long-term students. All my staff are trained in dance and have special needs backgrounds. I feel so very blessed to have the beautiful dance family that I have working with me to provide this very much needed opportunity.
Our students love our classes not only for exercise but also for the social interaction in and out of dance class that it gives. Parents also have made lifelong friendships.
We have travelled to perform in Disneyland California, Dreamworld on the Gold coast, and Hawaii. These trips give the students and their families life experiences they will hold with them forever. It also gives them the security to travel with other families of similar circumstances. Our aim is to travel with our Show Group class biannually.
